All sorts of things worth knowing about the Christmas festivities in Germany – From A for Advent, to Z for Zimtsterne – is what we had compiled in time for the 2003 Christmas celebrations in our small online lexicon. This year's question was: Which Christmas themes had we left out? Which gaps had to be closed in our Christmas lexicon? And since the year 2004 symbolises the year of the EU's expansion it was obvious to present Christmas customs of the 25 member countries of the European Union in a small atlas, starting from A as in Austria, through to S as in Sweden.
